About Medley
At Medley Mental Health, we believe your mental health care should be as multidimensional as you. Whether you’re a parent navigating the ups and downs of raising children, a family trying to find balance and rhythm, or an individual managing the stress and challenges of every-day, we’re here to help.
We specialize in helping individuals age 7+ and families navigate anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma-related challenges, adjustment disorders, major life transitions, and more. Our approach is relational, compassionate, collaborative, and neuro-affirming.
We provide telehealth therapy services across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we do accept FSA and HSA payments and can provide any documentation necessary to pursue reimbursement directly from your insurance provider.
Meet Our Team
Kat Tinkham, LICSW, LSCW
Founder, Medley Mental Health
I’m Kat. I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and I provide virtual therapy services to children, adults, and families throughout the DMV. I specialize in treating anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma-related challenges, and supporting families and individuals as they navigate major life transitions. My clinical approach is collaborative, relational, and neuro-affirming, and I use therapy modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, play therapy, and PC-CARE.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California (Fight On!) and have had the privilege of working with people from around the world ages 3-50 in my 6 years as a clinician. In my free time, I enjoy running, sports, art, history, hiking, my faith community, petting every dog I see and being with friends and family.
